It’s hard to believe how fast the time has gone, but on July 1, we will celebrate the fifth anniversary of full-time patient care at the Oklahoma Shoulder Center. While the last year or so has presented a multitude of challenges for small practices like ours, as well as for our patients, we are proud to have served so many, and it always warms our hearts to see our patients back. Nothing drives us more than seeing our work make a real difference in the lives of our patients. We want to extend a special thank you to our patients and referral partners for the trust you have placed in us.
As we mark this occasion, we also want to highlight a few key features of our practice:
Convenient Locations & Hours
Our main office is conveniently located in Midtown Oklahoma City in a stand-alone building with ample parking, across the street from SSM Bone and Joint Hospital and within walking distance of many other medical offices. Our office is a converted historic home, which creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for patients and guests. There are also many amenities, such as shops and restaurants in the immediate neighborhood, and many of our patients enjoy combining a trip to see Dr. Nolan with a visit to one or more of these local businesses.
When we started in 2016, that was our only office, but we have grown and expanded and continue to grow to be able to serve all of Oklahoma and beyond. In addition to the Oklahoma City office, we also see patients in Edmond and Duncan. Patients are always given the option of which office they prefer and are free to move between offices if it fits their schedule better.
The Edmond office is located in a beautiful modern medical office building just off I-35 on Route 66. The Duncan office is in the Falling Waters medical building in the group of medical offices next to Duncan Regional Hospital.
Because we understand that scheduling can be difficult sometimes, we do offer appointments on Saturdays and evenings by request. We can also work patients into the schedule quickly when necessary.
Finally, we also offer Telehealth visits, which may allow you to see Dr. Nolan and discuss your shoulder and elbow concerns from the comfort of your own home.
Independent Practice & Open Referrals
As an independent orthopaedic surgery practice, we can refer patients to any location for imaging studies, therapy, or other treatment. We’re not restricted to referring only within a specific hospital group, so we can refer you directly to the best and most convenient option for you. Since we have many patients who travel from across the state as well as from out of state to see Dr. Nolan for her rare and exceptional subspecialty expertise, this flexibility in referring to any therapy clinic is extremely beneficial to our patients.
If you are in need of surgery, there are many options of hospitals and surgery centers where you may choose to have your surgery.
In most cases, you do not need a primary care referral to see Dr. Nolan and can simply call the Oklahoma Shoulder Center for an appointment. Check with your insurance to be sure, or give us a call to discuss.
Direct Care From a Highly Qualified Surgeon
Dr. Nolan is the only Active Member of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) in the state and the only Oklahoma shoulder surgeon who has completed two shoulder and elbow fellowships. She has over 10 years of experience exclusively in shoulder and elbow surgery and has performed thousands of these procedures, such as rotator cuff repairs, treatment of shoulder instability, and shoulder replacements to name a few. As a true shoulder and elbow subspecialist, she is able to provide the highest level of care for any shoulder or elbow problems.
On top of her extensive experience, patients at the Oklahoma Shoulder Center also benefit from access to Dr. Nolan. Every patient sees Dr. Nolan at every appointment. You will meet and discuss your needs with your surgeon directly, as opposed to meeting your surgeon for the first time the day of surgery. We believe strongly in empowering our patients to make the best decision for their health and their life, and we discuss the full range of options with each patient. The more you understand about your condition and the treatment options, the better we can work together to reach an optimal result.
Thank you again to our patients, referral partners, and other supporters for joining us on this journey. We look forward to continued partnership with you in the years to come!
