Are you from out of town or maybe even a local looking for something you and your family can enjoy while in town during the holiday season?
Many of our patients travel from out of town and would like to combine their visit with us and some sight-seeing in Oklahoma City. We are often asked for recommendations of cool things to see or fun things to do in the Oklahoma City/Downtown area. They have a lot of fun, family-friendly things to do year round, but also have some really neat things going on that you and your family should try during this holiday season. Here is a small list of things to check out, together with links to make it hassle free for you:
Each holiday season, the Myriad Botanical Gardens opens the Devon Ice Rink; Checkout the family fun experience at this winter wonderland. You can skate across 5,500 square feet of real ice while enjoying the seasonal food and beverage they offer. Get lost in this magical, park-like atmosphere surrounded by all of the beautiful lights at the Crystal Bridge, and the giant poinsettia “tree”. If you are here on a Saturday you can also checkout Saturdays with Santa. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and several of the elves will be available for photos.

Come see all the historic buildings on Automobile Alley during Automobile Alley’s Lights on Broadway; This is part of Downtown in December. There are more than 230,000 colorful LED lights that cover the buildings along eight blocks of North Broadway and district side streets, making it such a sparkling magical holiday. This will put anyone in a holly jolly mood!
Check out the link for a map and coupons. Also check out the other Downtown in December events.

Bricktown’s water taxi is now offering a free Christmas Cruise on designated days this holiday season, courtesy of the local small businesses. All of the canal’s holiday decorations will be visible on the tour. Each round trip is estimated to take 20-30 minutes.
While visiting the Oklahoma City metro area, jump on the new Oklahoma City Streetcar to explore the downtown area with a day pass. The streetcar has many stops you can get on or off at any stop if you see something you’d like to explore such as museums, shopping, restaurants and parks. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays now through January 5th are free!
