Dr. Betsy Nolan of the Oklahoma Shoulder Center was recently accepted as a new associate member with American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES). She was one of 27 new associate members accepted nationwide in 2016.
The organization is the premier association for shoulder and elbow surgeons to discuss new developments in the field, work together on research, and help advance the science of shoulder and elbow surgery. Members also share interesting cases and learn from each other at conferences and through online communications.
Candidates for membership in ASES must dedicate a substantial portion of their practice to elbows or shoulder surgery, must have completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, be sponsored by two existing members of the association, and be involved in research or teaching to further the field. Complete requirements for membership are available on the ASES website.
For patients at the Oklahoma Shoulder Center, Dr. Nolan’s membership in ASES ensures that she will continue to apply the latest research and developments when treating shoulder and elbow patients.
